Official contest rules
The winning couple must contain at least one person that will be active military on January 25 2009, be of a rank of E6 or below and have served in the Middle East.
The wedding must occur in San Diego on January 25 2009. Couples who cannot be present are strictly ineligible.
Guest count will be limited to 50 guests - adults only, please, no children allowed.
The ceremony and reception must be held at the prearranged locations.
Entry submissions must be 100-750 words for the written essay and 2-5 minutes for the essays (see entry page for more details on submissions).
The online submission form must be completed for each couple, and each couple is only allowed to submit once. Duplicate entries will be discarded.
The packages listed by the vendors are final, any additions to each package are to be negotiated directly between the client and the vendor concerned.
Closing date for entries will be July 31 2008, and winners will be notified by August 14 2008. The decision of the judges is final.
